The long-term relationship of Paradise Lost with the Greek audience is very well known and it is one of those that get better and better. That is why we're looking forward to meeting them again on Saturday December 5that the Fuzz Clubon a show worthy of their story, with a brand new album in their luggage.
Paradise Lost are not just the ancestors of atmospheric death metal. They are much more than that, honoring their role as leaders of the British hard-rock scene. The group was destined to become one of the most important metal bands of its kind, being an integral part of the Holy British Trinity, along with Anathema & My Dying Bride.
They've been in the music business for over 30 years, with “Gothic”, “Draconian Times” and “Icon” as their monumental masterpieces and essential additions to every updated record collection. Eerie and charming, these records are still constant references to the harsh sound, affecting more than half of the atmospheric death metal and goth scene.
The hearthbreaking melodies of Greg Mackintosh and Aaron Aedy, along with Nick Holmes' distinguished voice, are the British band’s trademark. A dark ambient setting, perverted riffs and a few deafening rhythms of Edmodson (bass) and Väyrynen (drums), immerse the listener in the haunting soundtrack of Paradise Lost.
The band never stopped evolving and risked artistically, even traversing electronic paths as they skidded on their gothic roots. Each of their record labels is on the list of the best albums of the year. Their latest album was “Medusa”, which sealed the sound of the band, a masterpiece acclaimed by audiences and critics.
Aaron Aedy recently revealed in an interview that the band has started working on their new album, which is expected to be released by the end of 2020.
On Saturday December 5th, we will meet again with Paradise Lost on the stage of Fuzz, for a special show, with all their favorite songs, but also new material.
We're already counting down! Prepare yourselves!
